EBZEF Memorial Library/Learning Center

The Lumwana West Library/Learning Center is a Peace Corps Partnership Program with the Elizabeth Bowers Zambia Education Fund begun at the initiative of Peace Corps Volunteer Robert Wilder 2006 and continued by PCV Jessica Hillsley through 2008.

The building is 220 square meters in size and will hold up to 50 people at a time. It is a literacy project for Beth’s Girls and for the village of Lumwana West and surrounding area. It will house textbooks as well as a general library collection of 18,000-20,000 volumes.
